Mermaid import and export
Mermaid describes diagrams as text. Bring Mermaid in to get a diagram you can move, restyle and present; take any board out as Mermaid to keep it in your docs.
Import
- Paste Mermaid text onto the board: it’s recognised by its first line and drawn, laid out, as one step you can undo.
- Or use Board menu → Import Mermaid…: the text is checked as you type, and anything that will be skipped or simplified is listed by line before you import.
Read: flowchart (and graph), sequenceDiagram,
classDiagram, erDiagram, stateDiagram-v2 and
mindmap. Styling, clicks and a few other lines are skipped, each with a note
saying which line; other diagram types, like gantt or pie, are
refused with a message.
Export
Board menu → Export Mermaid… writes the board (or the selection) as Mermaid
to copy or download as .mmd. The kind follows what you drew; an org chart
becomes a top-down flowchart. Positions and colours aren’t part of Mermaid, so they don’t
travel, and the export says what it left out.
